GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ARTISTS
(German) » here

1) APPLICATION: Artists interested in participating in the symposium are welcome to apply. Information required for application: your CV, portfolio, website etc., as detailed below.
Contact us: Wolfgang Horwath, E-Mail: hor.w@aon.at,
Telephone: +43 3356 7763, Mobile: +43 664 765 5193
After applications have been submitted, a jury will select the participants. Only applications submitted by the end of June of each respective year will be considered.

2) TRAVEL to and from the symposium: Participants will need to organise their own travel arrangements. However, transfers to the venue from Vienna International Airport (Flughafen Wien-Schwechat), as well as from the railway stations Wien Hauptbahnhof, Wien Westbahnhof and Bahnhof Eisenstadt, are organised by us. Please be sure to inform us of the time and place of your arrival (including flight number or train number) as well as of your departure.

3) ACCOMMODATION: We will provide, as well as cover the expenses for lodging in double rooms in Rust. If you prefer a single room, you are required to pay an additional fee of € 15,- (fifteen) per night – however, it is important to note that we cannot guarantee such rooms will be available at all times.

4) MEALS: We will also provide meals. Please inform us in advance if you would like your food to be vegetarian.

5) BIOGRAPHY and other INFORMATION: For public relations and documentation purposes, please prepare a curriculum vitae (900 characters including blank spaces). Please also bring or send us additional material illustrating your work such as catalogues, photos, videos, CDs, etc.

6) ARTWORKS created during the symposium: Our annual symposium has a different theme every year. Participants are expected to address this thematic focus in the artwork they create during the event. At least one work per artist must be made available to the art association »eu-art-network« for use in its planned exhibitions. The works can be returned after a period of two to three years if desired, however, the artists themselves will be wholly responsible for all transportation costs and liability. The works can also be put up for sale; in the event of a sale, 25% of the proceeds go to »eu-art-network«.

7) ART SUPPLIES required during the symposium:  Please bring your own basic supplies such as brushes and small tools, as well as any special painting materials you require. Canvases, drawing paper, as well as primers and colouring materials will be provided on-site.

For this reason, your works should not exceed the following sizes: pictures: a maximum size of 150 x 115 cm; sculptures: a maximum size of 50 x 50 x 120 cm, a maximum weight of 30 kg.
