Biographisches zu Marianna Liik »
Marianna Liik (born September 8, 1992 in Kärdla) is an Estonian composer. In 2014 she graduated bachelor in electroacoustic composition at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with Malle Maltis and Margo Kõlar. At present Liik is studying composition in master with Helena Tulve and Margo Kõlar. At the 2013 International Rostrum of Composers that took place in Prague Liik’s composition »Mets« (Forest) came second in the under-30 category. In November 2014 Marianna Liik won the Westdeutscher Rundfunk film music award at the competition SoundTrack_Cologne 11. Liik has taken part in several masterclasses with Fausto Sebastiani, Daniele Bravi, Bryan Christian, Niels Rosing-Schow, Ivan Fedele. She has participated in Daniel Schnyder`s workshop with the Baltic Sea Youth Philharmonic.
